I made this yesterday.  I almost blinded myself cleaning the globe out with lye.  I will never use lye again. 

Anyway, I like the wispy nature of it.  Makes me think of a fortune telling ball or something magical. 

I don't really like the orange.  I'll try blue next time I think.

I just use dish soap and a bottle  brush and have never had an issue of getting the globe clean and I have had some pretty old and cloudy globes.
