Something Interesting About Me:: A middle 30 something who just loves lava lamps, and what makes them work.....

My First Lava Lamp was:: My first lava lamp was my grandmothers tha she had in the mid to late 1970's. It was green lava in goldish liquid,a nd was a Century Series. Sometime, around 1982 she decided to redecorate, and my beloved lava lamp disappeared into the trash. I searched high and low for that lamp until she finally told me what happened to it. I was crestfallen. From then on I had a burning love for the lava lamp. My VERY first OWN lava lamp was a white lava, blue liquid midnight series from around 1990. I sitll have that today as well as MANY older and newer lamps. In all today in my room alone I have 5 going now.

My Collection Includes this many Lava Lamps:: One Century, two Aristocrats, Two Enchantress Planters and my newest a Grande!,

My Favorite Lava Lamp is:: My 102 1973 (green/blue) Aristocrat

My NEW Grande isnt so well..GRAND....

It's been awhile, but I really could use all the expert opinions that are available here.....Would anyone care to answer a few for me?

First a little back story...

I purchased this Christmas 2015 a Lava Grande from Amazon, in a yellow wax/blue liquid format with silver base and cap. It arrived to me (NEW OUT OF THE SHIPPING BOX) dark and cloudy (the liquid).
