- My first foray into lava lamps was about 23 years ago, I had a pink glitter lava lamp, a silver "foil squares" type lamp (not exactly a true lava lamp but sort of, don't remember the name of the manufacturer but I do seem to recall them being made in UK) and loads of fibre optic lamps. used for psychedelic "research" by me and my friends.
