Something Interesting About Me:
I love the color, it's why I collect. It is like living tye dye. I have wore tye dye most my life. I have enough shirts for a month without repeating. I guess I could have been a hippie, jusst born too late :) I bought my first lamp 5 years ago. I dream of owning a collosus. My family ( specifically my teenagers ) thinks I have lost my mind because my collection is approaching 50 lamps. Yet they call to ask if they are on, and drag their friends in to show off the lamps! I find alot of them at thrift stores and garage sales.
My First Lava Lamp was:
I bought it at Sears in a after christmas sale for next to nothing...it was the last one. It was a classic with blue fluid, and yellow lava. I have been hooked ever since.

When a little bit wax sticks on the inside of the bottle. It dosn´t matter because you can use a clean brush to remove the wax

Hi Stephanie. I hope you understand me ´cause my english is not very good...I think. Look at this web page: http://www.futurumshop.de/product/6074-5020-N0802/msr-msr-wasserfilter-msr-miniworks-ex.phtml

I know this is a german web page but you will find it in the web on american web pages. This filter pump is very expensive but it´s worth it. The firtst step that I make was to remove the cap and the rubber seal. Look at: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/forum/topics/successfully-remove-or-take There are two videos. Then I put all the violet fluid out of the bottle in a VERY clean bucket.
Warning: Be careful when you put all the fluid out of the bottle. When you turn the bottle to diffuse the the liquid make sure that the solid lava swim loosely in the liquid. I mean anytime when you turn the bottle more and more to remove the liquid the colt wax solves from the ground and hit the inside of the bottle. When you don´t have liquid between bottle and wax the wax stick at the inside of the bottle. After you remove the liquid you can rinse out the bottle with colt water to remove all the cloudiness. When there is a little bit water in the bottle it doesn´t matter. Then use your filter pump. read the description. I must say you really need strong muscles. After that you put all fluid back in the bottle and switch the lamp on. When the lamp is really hot and the flow is great you must put the rubber seal on the top and the aluminium cap. And finally you must use a claws to blend the edge of the cap under the glass jut. See my picture.
