Floating Wax

I got some canning and candle wax a few months back and noticed the wax wouldn't sink. Since then I have gotten a Gookit and I notice the wax is a lot different than the candle wax. The texture is more "vaselinie"  then then the kits wax. I also got some soy wax just to test it out and it has the same strange feel as the Gookit wax but it floats as well. I work at a local bar as the only cook. I like to do at home projects in my free time. This is my first year getting into the LAVA

My First Lava Lamp was:
I got a blue and yellow lamp when I was 12, I am 21 now and just recently got a new clear yellow lamp which has made me see lava for what it really was, now I look forward to make my own lamps and hearing other peoples helpful advise in my ventures.
