"75% of the time, the problem lies in the center tab of the socket It gets pushed down over time and use. UNPLUG the lampTake a pick or small screwdriver and pry the center tab upwards.crew in the light bulb, plug it in, and try the switch"

Fixing a Vintage Base's Electrical

I have a Haggerty lamp whose base no longer works. I'd hate to throw it out and try to replace it since bases are coming as hard to find as the lamps themselves. Is there any way to do a simple troubleshooting + repair on it that won't electrocute me to death lol.See More

"You could try cycling the lamp like 2 hours on one hour off for a week or two...if you use a timeswitch probly only a few days. It doesnt work for all haggerty formulae but with this technique I managed to make my 90`s 52Oz crystal clear again...and…"

I've got some Haggerty lamps that are really starting to cloud up. Are there any recommendations on how to clear up the cloudiness?I've read the How To Fix Cloudy Lava Lamps Page (http://oozinggoo.ning.com/page/cloudy), though I don't know how up-to-date or even relevant it still is.
