Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to give you a heads up that the Magma Tower website has been redone. Also, the gookits.com website will be getting a make over soon as well. We will start selling the kits straight from the website. The ebay store will still be up during the transition but will eventually be taken down.

Any advice and/or criticism is always appreciated. We want to make everything as easy and user friendly as possible for you guys.

Thanks,

Jonny

Jonny, can you look into that? with the green wax? I do notice the reddish tint is more prominent when its in a larger globe, like a grande rather then a smaller globe anything smaller then a 52 oz.

I dont think it was the light bulb. When I was adding my green it was perfect, but near the last bit of green there was a spec of red. I watched it swirl in and I was like: NooooooOOooooo.... Now it haunts me.

I dont have a problem, really.

Well I do lol! cause it does do what I mentioned with the green dye and aqua

:P

I have already set up some testing and also ordered some different style greens to try to rectify this.

Excellent! It just needs to be less transparent and more rich in color allowing no light to show thru it. In fact most of the colors are kind of transparent except the darker ones like blue. I know red is transparent as well and you can add a whole dye pack of red and it wouldnt matter, it stays the same red. It doesnt turn a darker red.

The owner loves the transparent style colors for some reason. I will see what I can do about convincing them to offer the more opaque ones.

the transparent ones are nice but for color control you have to use opaque, maybe both can be offered?

Both would be great, one of the reasons I moved over to the magma tower wax was because it is translucent. I love seeing the flow inside the wax. Unless its filled with gigantic bubbles...

Any news on the Spectrum lamp?

Outstanding question Rob!  This would have made a great Christmas gift.
