Rainbow Clearview from Ross

I finally got one of these. I have always wanted one, just didn't have the money. Well today I went in to Ross, and they had them there! For $12!! Its exactly same as the ones from Spencer's.

Comment by Ian on October 1, 2014 at 12:47am: Mine is the same way, how the wax takes a little push to reconnect! I just can't get it to fully stick to the coil. I might return it and get the other one the store had. I'll give it 3 more runs, and then it's getting exchanged. Or maybe I'll just get the second one, and keep both... It's a nice lamp! Lava lite should do more "colormax" clearviews like this one! It's much cooler in a Clearview. I also love how the base and cap match the top and bottom globe colors very nicely.

Comment by VOXul on September 30, 2014 at 11:49am: Mine seems to have stuck all first run but the diameter of the coil could be a tiny bit larger. I notice that the little dribblets of wax that tear off float to the bottom and collect in the side that the coil just does not reach to. They eventually get hit by a descending blob and kicked into the coil but while they sit there the globe slowly looses more wax flow. Am tempted to buy a second though

This Clearview does run better than my emerald ever did though, I like.

Comment by Ian on September 30, 2014 at 11:40am: No problem! I completely agree!! Mine is clear too, but the wax is suddenly not wanting to stick to half of the coil. I twisted the globe to get it all to stick as it was cooling down, and now the coil is fully enveloped in the wax. Not sure if it is going to stay that way tho.

Comment by VOXul on September 29, 2014 at 2:08pm: Thank you for this lead Ian! Stopped by Ross near my work today and had them! Can't beat a $12 Rainbow ClearView! Globe looks CLEAR too! Will fire it up tonight and check for glass bubbles and see how she flows.
