I just joined this website and I will be more active in the future when I figure it out but, I wanted to say I just aquired this lamp on ebay and I am jazzed. It's cool next to my xemo/xeno alien embryo lamp. I am surprised to see it on ozzinggoo. I have been trying to research the company  to see it they made any others but, I can't find anything. The info I read from Ian is correct. Mine says the same thing on the cap. I hope they made a red one with some other weird thing in it. I have a thing about blue,green,red combo. I will try to post pictures of my collection soon but I am an old guy that has been collecting lava lamps and weird and obscure lighting since 1973 and need someone to help me navigate this website. I am freaking out that this site exist. I thought I was the only crazy person that collected these things. Now I know I'm not alone. Will be in touch.

OMFG I LUV IT!!!!!!  Just in time for the new summer upcoming release of the new Jurassic park movie "Jurassic World"!!!!!!  I can't wait!!!  I hear the dinos are going to be very lifelike in this version.  Great for the big screen!!!

That is cool and very Jurassic Park! I have thought, with the Xemu and now this model, it would be awesome to get a small fish tank pump and run a small rubber hose into the globe, maybe through the figure or behind it, to create a bubble effect. Very mad scientist!

The bottom had the company, E & K Global Ltd. it's officially called a Tyrannosaurus rex lamp, item no: EKG-8831D. The date it was made, according to the sticker on the bottom, is March 19, 2004.

It's definitely factory! Same company as the alien one, I think. The top has info on the dinosaur, just like the alien one has info on the alien. I googled it, and only came across one thing about it and it said the Dino ones came later (mine says 2004) and they did not sell hardly at all, so they are pretty rare. Also, instead of saying xeno xemu, the cap says vivid ekg. It's pretty cool! My sisters friend gave it to her, I guess she had bought it new.

Cool lamp Ian! I also did not know they made a dino version, I have only seen the alien. Does it look to be a factory job or could it be a custom figure?
