Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I can't find the post but someone wanted to see if we could find lava lamps on tv, movies, print ads.
Just saw one.

ABC.com full episode player, 5/5/08 DWTS, first commerical break, Discover card, lava lamp next to the computer, dead center, 32z silver base/cap, yellow/orange, still caught mid flow, hazy.

South Park Lava, lol!!!

I love South Park.

Century 100 series lava lamps(52 oz.) were all originally made in the USA. As far as I know the newer models are too. The one in Dark Shadows(Caroline's room) may be a bit slow because of all the extra holes bleeding off heat, or they may have just turned it on when the sequence was filmed. But to me it seemed to be running just fine. The effect of all the extra holes is quite striking too.

Supernatural, season 2, episode 15 near the end in the theater.

The scene begins looking through a lava lamp as it flows.

I saw that and immediately went for the iPad to share. The thread is called lava on TV.

Good, clear flow to you all,

Jeff

"We are singing to our lava lamp...and it's bubbly, bubbly, bubbly...":  http://youtu.be/Pco7dGvuJSY

Critter, thanks for the update on the new Century lamps! I had no idea if they are Chinese or not. I was thinking about buying one so you got me just in time!

Tom, the vintage Century's were made in the U.S. But nope not the current ones....those, The Heritage Series Century, are Chinese and are probably the worst flowing Lava Lite lamps of all time. But no matter where those globes in the movie.were made the flow was poor at best, but the starlight effect was nice.

They could have at least had the lamp flowing during the making of that video, lol!!!  Their lava lamp wasn't going bubbly, bubbly, bubbly!!!  I can't believe that vid got over 130,000 hits!!!!!
