My First Lava Lamp was:
I fell in love with lava at a friend's house in 1967, I was 15. My friend had just gotten a lamp for her birthday. It was a sleepover. I stayed up all night watching the lamp.
I never got one but never forgot.

2008 I decided it was time to get myself a lava lamp. I got a midnight clear/red. I was hooked.

Now I have a bunch and want more. The plan is to house the midnights in black bookcases for A Moving Wall of Color.

COLLECTING COLOR

I don't collect lamps I collect the moving color lava globes that go in lamp bases. The majority of my over 50 lamps are 32oz Lava Lite Midnights simply because at night the base and cap fade into the background and the moving colors take center stage. 9 of my lamps have silver bases to cluster around the silver base Grande.

When I started my moving color collection 2/2008 my original plan was to acquire 25 midnight clear/colored wax lamps to put in black bookcases making The Wall o… Continue

My in-laws moved to Williamsburg a few years ago and I've been able to visit each summer. It is so beautiful there. I love all the water and trees - two things we don't have a lot of here in the desert.

Good luck at the voting booth. I took care of that about 2 weeks ago! Tonight, I think I'll enjoy a bottle a beer on the couch with the clicker. At least, I hope I enjoy it!
