Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have a question about sun bleaching a lava lamp, i put a blue/white out last week to clear the blue tint, about 3 days later it was clear, but the white lava appeared to be more yellow then white, did i over cook the thing or was it not very white to begin with, any ideas how i can keep the sucker white when i'm doing this, any help or ideas would be very useful. Thanks Steve.

I have noticed that as white wax ages, it seems to turn yellow or brown. Have you put the globe on the base to see what it looks like when it is flowing? I don't think the sun will affect the color of the wax.
