Mathmos say that a true white lamp will have approx 500 - 800 hours life, when in use, then the lava will start to turn a sandy colour.

I am not sure how true that is with the smaller lamps, but thats what they told me with my White lunar.
Its a shame if the beautiful white lava turns off white or yellowey. I wonder if there's anyway of treating the wax to whiten it?
I dont think there is Jerome. I was told by mathmos when I had the custom White / Clear lunar that is was inevitable that it will change colour at some point in its life. It is a shame as White is an amazing lava colour and to have it go yellowey is just criminal.

The only way of preserving the Whiteness is not to use it as often as other colours. Which in a way is a false economy, lol
Wow. It's like it turns from clear/white to clear/yellow.......well light yellow.

I noticed this when I faded a blue/white to clear. The wax was a creamy color.

I still want a clear/white. A #01. That would be awesome. In the meantime, maybe I can just fade a lamp.
