what do you do if the wax won't move?

The bulb is new. The lamp has been sitting unused for several years could this be why its not acting right?
Ok i'll try that. thanks

I've also had other globes where the wax separated into lighter and heavier halfs.

I had to kick start the lamp by using a hotter bulb until I got the wax to melt together and the fluid to fully circulate.

So trying it on another base may yield good results or at least a kick start.
