Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

A bizarre combination of cap and color. Possible factory error?

I asked an eBay member about the coding on the cap of a lamp that is obviously clear/white.  It should be and 8401.

Here's the coding I was given.

Big 03 with small 011126T and 111601B

Is it even possible for blue liquid to completely fade to clear?

Here's a pic and item number of the lamp.

Cap is always right. Yes, an 03 can be sun faded to clear/white in a few weeks. No traces of blue will be left. Going by the pic, the lava has turned yellow. This shows lots of running, age and it was probably near a window. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it.

Here is a faded 52oz blue/white. Notice the slight blue tint. I never got around to completely fading it.

Thanks Kris. Even though the eBay lamp is faded, it is visually a very nice lamp!
