Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey all

Recently purchased a Heritage Grande, and was wondering, is it possible to use standard 100w bulbs, or is the reflector bulb needed?

Thanks

Standard will not direct the light or heat towards the bottom of the globe so it probably wont flow or just take forever to get flowing.

Thanks for the info. Wish it was as easy as goin to the store to buy them. I know I can get em online, but buyin em local would be nice. The government sure makes it hard for us goo heads.

thankfully the incandescent reflector bulbs aren't affected by the ban, but many stores no longer carry them.  i order my grande bulbs from eBay or amazon, which usually leaves my lamp down for a couple of days while i wait (first-world problem).
