Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello friends,

So I bought a lava lamp like 2 years a go and then the bulb just exploded. I couldn't find the bulb where I live so I needed to buy it from China. And then my problem started, even though I bought the exact light stated on the lava lamp, on the first run of my lava lamp it got cloudy as hell. Then I tried to fix it chancing the water with epsom salt, dish liquid etc. at first there was bubbles inside the wax, I repeated the same process like 5 times and there is no air bubbles inside right now but after it starts to work, it gets cloudy and I can see really little particles and also that the water is foggy.

Then I realized, when it gets heated, there is something coming from the wax, making the water foggy, I took a picture to give you guys an idea(you can see somethin leaking from bottom on the right side)

This was my first lava lamp and I dont know why but I'm kinda emotionally attached to it :D So any idea/solution will be appriciated. Thanks in advance!
