Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I cant decide how i want to color my wax of one of my goo kits. So right now its just white, but i really want to color it silver metallic like dr whats lamp that he shows off in the goo kit tutorial. However, getting the amount of sharpies i need here i Denmark , would cause it to run over 150 usd, which i think is way too much just for dying a single lamp.

So basicly my question is if theres anyone who have tried an alternative way, with success, of getting a metallic silver color ? I was thinking that since Sharpies are just markers, maybe i could use some cheaper ones like these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Waterproof-Permanent-Paint-Marker...

But im not sure what properties the marker should have to be usable, and if some of those properties are limited to Sharpies only.

Any thoughts ?
