Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello all!

I recently purchased a 52 oz black/clear lava lamp... after several exchanges due to scratched globes, I got one that was decent, but somewhat cloudy. I understand that this is fairly normal--but I want to know, will the liquid ever get truly clear? I have a red/clear lava lamp that was clear when I bought it--crystal clear. Will the black one ever get to that point?

Both the clear and the cloudy lamps are so called "cheap china lamps"
No white dye... just cloudy water... almost looks as though there are tiny tiny bubbles suspended in the solution
