New to the forum... Have had lava lamps for sometime but only recently decided to start exploring more information about them and this has led to a modest increase in the number i have. Anyway did a search for black light here and got nothing so here comes my post/question.
Has anyone set up their display of lamps with a black light lit shelf or case? Does it do anything to enhance the appearance in general? I don't own a black light or i'd test it myself...

I have, and some others have also. Magma Tower sells a few fluorescent dyes, and some lavas already come that way, but the effect with a blacklite bulb instead of the regular bulb is almost always a bit lackluster. What tends to work better is running the lamp with a heat coil, and shining the blacklite in the form of tubes on the outside of the base.
I get 18 pages worth of blacklight info
