Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi all, is there any difference between using opal or clear bulbs when running either lava or glitter bottles?

I found the opal don't get as hot and don't let out as much light, clear is best in my opinion, but everyone has there own choices in life...

I have used this company for a long time when buying bulbs, they used to sell on ebay but as a family run business probably got fed up with all the ebay fee's and general hassle, either way they are still selling on the net...

I say it depends on the lamp.  I use frosted 60 waters with dimmers on my goo kits and frosted 40's on my vintage just because they are prone to overheating.  Now on my Clearview I had to up the 25 watt stock bulb to a 30 watt of the same style bulb because it just wouldn't move on the 25.  So I guess it depends on the individual lamp imo.

Thanks Crestworth ltd and Carol for the reply's regarding the bulbs. Ordered some 25w ses clear golf ball bulbs to run my glitterlite bottles.
