Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have an old green lamp from the 90's and the wax is a bit transparent. I remember when the lamp was new the wax had more of a solid color to it. I would like to get it back if possible. Anything I can do? Thanks!

I don't really know anything about making wax more solid looking but I do know that goo kit lamps often start out like that and then change to a solid colour after a bit of running.

Have you left it for ages before turning it on again as this may be a cause, running it more might fix this issue.
