That is very nice of you.  As most collectors, I collected them because I liked them.  When I was first collecting (for many years), they were out of fashion and you could find them cheap at flea markets and garage sales.  They were even cheap on eBay (at the beginning).  I really love them.  If you check out my page on here, you'll see tons of photos of them.

I must say your collection is stupendous and quite an achievement..

There is nothing these days it seems compares to our vintage lamps..Your collection deserves an award...as do you..

I may have knowledge, but Bryin has the incredible selection of lamps. Which Florence are you missing? And can you post a few wide shots of the areas where your French etc. lamps are?

I will be posting my French lavas in the next couple of weeks.  Arranging,  cleaning and setting up wiring for them.

I'm only missing the triple that's in a circle.  I know I have a couple of those that are the only known examples (including the only lava that I ever saw from them).  I'm trading a really rare color organ (lucite swag lamp) with Weebo for his.

I have no idea how you hold so much knowledge in your head.  You're better than google when it comes to info on lavas.

Simply amazing collection Bryin!  I'm just glad I have a couple of lamps in common with you.  One of my faves being that acrylic/lucite bubble sphere with the crazy twinkle bulbs (lava man jpg).  I go into seizures but love it nonetheless,
The bubble sphere is very cool.  Thanks for the compliment.  I will be uploading the vast majority of my collection over the next couple of weeks.  That was a small sampling.  Can you tell I have an obsessive personality?

I better get that one over to you before they start filming the show!!!

LOL!

Can't wait to see your collection[s] displayed on TV (and to sit in the egg chair!!!)

Hey Tim - That's only a few shelves.  In that one room I have approximately 150 lava lamps displayed.  As I clean and re-wire, I will post more.  I have a real obsession over vintage French lava and glitters.  I also have an almost complete (as far as anybody knows) collection of Florence glitter lamps.  My friend Weebotech is trading me for the only one I know that I'm missing.  I think I have been collecting lavas and glitters longer than anybody on here and have mainly focused on vintage.  Although I do bow my hat to Jonas.  He is much more knowledgeable on the subject than I am.

Bryin - thats some serious vintage collection you have, there is no messing around with you

They emailed me and asked me for a video of my apartment.  Although I had too much coffee, I threw one together.  If anybody's interested in seeing my insane collections, I put it on YouTube.  It's not public and you need the link to watch it.

It's 8 1/2 minutes long.  Just click on the hyperlink below and enjoy!

Is that you jammin' the tunage bry?

Cool vid, thanks for sharing!

It looks a lot better in person.  That's not me doing the old school techno, that's CJ Bolland.  I sent the video to the show and they're going to call me and ask me some more questions.  When are you visiting?

Im really digging that multi guitar wall lamp, utterly awesome setup up over all. If your not on the show, the show should not be on !
Thanks.  They are actually 5 different guitar lamps (took me years to collect).  They're by one of my favorite artists, Frederic Weinberg and were made in the 50's.  I'm only missing one that I know of and it's a double guitar.  I've never seen it, but I've heard about it from a couple of different people.  He also did the giant back-lit dancers on the wall.
