sweet i will have to try it out. my dad has real red food coloring that he uses for the humming bird feeder.

Hi. Did this work? Cause i have used food coloring myself for my mathmos lava lamps after i changed the water. but the color is fading away within days. so what kind of color can i use so that it is permanent and doesn't fade to fast?

Use food coloring then keep it out of the sun, the UV rays in the sun is what causes the color to fade.

doesn't work for me. my lamps aren't standing in the sun but still the color fades after 3-4 days. right know i try color tablets that you can use to change the water color in your bathtub. hope this works better.

Try to use dye.

What kind? For hairs? first i want to see how long the tablets will go on without fading.
