today i bought a purple glitter grande for $25. it was supposed to be new in box. i looked at it in a dark garage and it looked fine.it was clear. when i got it home and put a blub in it it went cloudy. there is a filming on the glass and tons of little bits of white fluffy moldy looking stuff floating around. it still seems to be sealed. i cant barley even see the glitter and what glitter i can see doesnt even look to be silver. it looks irridescent. i thought all grandes had silver glitter? and i didnt even know a glitter could go cloudy! ive been scearching og for and hour and have not found any info...HELP PLEASE!!!!
this is my 3rd bad buy in a row! geez...(hand smacks forehead) :(

wait are we talking bulbs here or ceramic heaters? I wouldn't waste money on the bulbs unless you have too.

Doc, we are talking about both lol...ive been looking all over town for regular 100 watt R20s cuz my gookitt is comming today but the bulb i ordered online wont be here for a week. i hadnt been able to find any until Jen gave me the idea to try reptile heat bulbs. while looking them up online to see if my local pet stores had any i came across the ceramic heaters and was curious about them. im not doing UV yet but had i known about the ceramic heaters i would have ordered some UV dye lol.
Where were you when I was selling 5 packs of 100w r20 for dirt cheap? lol also the reptile bulbs are formulated to replace what the reptile is missing when its in the wild, some of those bulbs output UV rays so that will fade water color over time just a fyi :) I used to have a breaded dragon that used these bulbs and I've faded a globe using them once. Took a good week but it worked.
awwww crap! i didnt even think about that lol...im not going to color the liquid anyway and i have a regular bulb on the way so ill only need it for a about a week. think it will be okay?
this is my first grande so i havnt need 100 watt bulbs till now.
