Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Ok, so I bought one of the red/yellow Heritage Century lamps a while ago and had to have it shipped. It arrived so cloudy i could hardly tell there was any wax inside. I ran it for a month hoping it would clear up at least a little. I have pretty much given up hope that is will ever be clear. I want to try to replace the fluid inside but I don't know if that is really possible on these lamps. Has anyone tried making new fluid for these? Im not too worried about messing up the lamp because the flow is far from perfect as it sits anyways. Any help is much appreciated.
