Found oozinggoo.com when I was looking for ways to repair the Grande I picked up at CostCo a few years ago. It's one of the Chinese made ones that has gone extremely cloudy and ceased to flow (going to try replacing the fluid one of these weekends).
It was here that I found out about really big Lava lamps. I was bowled over by videos of the Colossus lamps and really want to see if I could get one, I couldn't find them available anywhere so I wrote LavaLite. I wanted to let this group know what I got this from Lava Lite today:
We have a special promo on the Colossus for serious buyers. This will be the last time the Colossus will be seen.
Please see attached promo sheet with pricing included.
If you are interested please contact on my direct line at 630-496-6663.
Best regards,

Sadly these prices are outside of my discretionary funds, even though they include shipping. I post it in hopes that someone here may be interested.

We've all seen the tutorial, personally I was specifically wondering what would happen if I just siphoned enough water to counter balance the addition of dropping in more goo from a goo kit. Not draining the whole thing or removing any original lava.
Start saving your pennies now, Heather. In October next year they are supposed to come out with two colors of the Colossus for the Anniversary.

I would love to have one of the Colossus but I really can't afford to spend that much money. I have wanted one for a long time. I have two Grande lamps and I love them.
I heard that from the proverbial "Horse's mouth," Ben. Unless something happens and they change their minds. So save your pennies too! LOL

Don't tell me that, I'll be wanting one of each! I'll be in the doghouse, just me & my lava lamps... And an extension cord.
LOL, I'm saving too!
The ONLY way I'd buy one if it was reasonably priced. Several hundred dollars is absurd for these thing when they're probably built for maybe a couple hundred at best.
Also, they better have some decent dimmer control(s) or maybe a temp gauge for truly dialing the sweet spot and never resulting in floating blobs.
i'm saving! good to know it's october. i just heard end of next year and colossus. i also hope the color combinations are cool.

I hope the color combos are way cool too, Brad, and that it flows as perfectly as these gorgeous Heritage Grandes. I'm completely in love with them!
