I recently got a gold Aristocrat (red wax, I think the liquid is yellow, maybe it's just discolored with age) made in 1988 - the screw cap has a sticker inside it reading "Model 100, Jul 1988" but the base is definitely an Aristocrat base and not a Century. When I first got it there were a lot of bubbles of liquid in the wax, but running appears to have let most of that out. The only real problem with it is that whatever belonged on the bottom of the base is missing. I'm guessing it was a sheet of felt since the entire bottom is covered in glue and I don't see the screw holes where the plastic plate like what's on a Century would attach. Does anyone here know whether Lava Lite was using green or black felt on lamp bases in 1988?
