crystal skull vodka

hi guys

i went to london last weekend and walked past gerrys wine and spirit shop in soho, and to my suprise they had these beautiful bottles of crystal skull vodka in the window, they would make lovely lamps, the only disapointing thing was the price, the 70cl bottle was £75 and the 150cl was £150 so not a cheap vodka,

My BF tells me it's tasty stuff - not earth-shattering, but very good. The bottles are amazing. Am I correct that US dollars are about double amount of Pounds, i.e. 30 Pounds come out to somewhere in the neighborhood of $60 US? If so, then that's almost $150 US for the smaller bottle...which is outrageous. Maybe it's high due to import fees...? Here the 70cl is around $60 US or so.

 

Only problem is, I can see only two ways to make a lamp: either build a custom form-fitting base, or make a platform with a flush-mounted halogen light or inset cone with bulb and just set it on top. Some of the store displays here put it over a small light.

Its actaully good vodka, not very harsh at all. I don't drink hard liquor so I was surprised on how smooth it was. Anyway my avatar is a crystal skull bottle. Not much room to make a lava lamp out of, so I switched it to glitter definitely looks really cool when flowing. I can post larger pics later tonight if you'd like. I think I have pics of when it was lava too.

that would be great if you could, did you use the 70cl or the 150cl bottle

I will for sure tonight. And I have to look again which size it is, I didnt know there was 2 sizes of it. I got mine a long time ago so maybe then they only used one size bottle.

Hey Dr What?. Do you think the 1.75L skull would be too big?

Check this online wine site out. They sell both sizes of new vodka skull bottles for prices almost as low as the empty bottles go for on eBay.
