This is a TWO OF A KIND grande Base for sale.
I painted 2 grande bases at the same time.
My body shop charges me $120 to paint a grande base and now I know why!
I did bodywork and filled in all the irregularities from the manufacturing of spinning metal with heavy Body filler, Sanded, then lightweight body Filler, Sanded, Sprayed filler primer, Sanded, and surface primer and more sanding of various grits to reach near perfection,..(Its SMOOTH), Then I primed 6X, with a silver base coat, and painted this base Plasticote Metallic Blue.
This matches the Lava lamp Wizard pretty close in color and translucency.
This one for sale has some irregular in the intensity of the color (See pics) but hardly noticeable.
Also, a small ding on the edge of the cap that I felt did not warrant the effort for bodywork.-See pics.
Believe me, you DO NOT want to work with this paint if you do not have to!
There are multiple light coat necessary for proper coverage as well as a super thin base coat that takes forever to properly reach an adequate coverage
The smell is horrid and last 24hrs +
The overspray is even worse
Even my respirator didn't stop the fumes from impregnating my nostrils.
Sell for $50+ Shipping via Paypal (Its a bargain)
Add $10 for 1000 watt dimmer
L@@K !
no ridges from metal turning
If you look carefully there is a slight irregularity of color density on one side-but hardly noticeable at 3 ft away
