Halfords or any petrol station.

I get my DI water from a place which deals with water softener - they supply DI water to window cleaners and charge 2p a leater for it as its on tap.
I would ask around and see if there is something similar near to you which can do this.

at rite-aid they sell distilled water in the baby isle next to the baby formula. its called nursery water its in a gallon jug with a pink lid and a pic of a baby on the label. its only $1 something. walmart also sells distilled water for drinking in gallon jugs in the water/soda/beer isle but i dont remember what brand it is.

edit- oops sorry...i didnt realize you were in the UK. well....maybe my comment will still help someone looking for distilled in the US ;)

I agree with Aladdin 2 Lava, petrol station would be an excellent choice for the simple reason of doing a engine, radiator and heater flush, the cooling system of a vehicle needs to be refilled with distilled water to prevent calcium and or debris buildup and antifreeze, well that's what we call here in Canada. The antifreeze here does two things it of course prevents an engine from freezing, because of the sub-zero weather, but it also helps to prevent the engine from overheathing in the scorching summer season. Sorry, i over did it again.

I also forgot to mention drugstores or pharmacies.

I would be wary about getting DI water form petrol stations (i.e. water station there) as it may not be DI water, low quality. The end of the hose has got used a lot so there are probably some messy things on there you don't want to contaminate your lamp with

However they do sell bottled DI water in petrol station but I often find its in small amounts and over priced.

Aladdin is right about Halfords - that is probably the best place to get it. - For the US guys Halfords is a automotive and cycle superstore in the UK - has everything for cars and road travel etc.
