Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Ok - is anyone here the v***6 from eBay, driving up the cost of fiber optic lamps unnecessarily? This person (not that there is anything wrong with it) is bidding on these lamps right as they are put up - 6 days to go - and is pushing these lamps way up there for price. To the point where they are over priced. She has spent about $800 dollars on like 5 lamps. Most are junk.

I guess I am just venting. She seems like a nice person. I know her real eBay id and talked with her. It's just shocking that every new lamp that comes up she is already bid on. Not once but two or three times.

You're kidding right?
LOL, reminds me of my Bid Stalker, way before eBay started hiding the bidder's ID's.
But are there other bids on the auction, as well? Nevermind, I just found "her" bidding 3 times on a pair of FO's @ 149 & another 2 @ 10.... WTF?
WeeboTech- I don't understand? Kidding about what?

Vixen- Yeah, not sure why she bids so many times and it's only her. Then when it gets down to it, she drives the cost through the roof.

Bohdan- Yeah, I have been witness to that. Once I see it and if I am bidding, I will withdraw my bids. I don't play that crap. She on the other hand must be really into these things. She wants them at whatever cost and that does not seem to be a problem.

She told me she is using them for parts and gives them as gifts. What's weird is she started in September. All of it just seems odd. Whatever. Again I am just venting really. Not really complaining.
Well, if she actually buys them, then put up a few that you can part with and enjoy the windfall. Collectibles are funny. People come and go, but when they just get started or are learning, they can overpay until they know better?? If she's buying parts then she knows better. I can definately understand why that would be annoying - especially if these are your favorites! :(
Was similar to the guy who was bidding on the Swiss Beacons, he seemed to not only be content to pay upwards of $200 for every one, but he bid as though he WANTED to pay high, and he bought Every. Single. One. Er, save those that were trashed. Didn't respond to contact, either, which I took to mean "Go away, I'm busy collecting".
Yeah that is odd. Not sure what drives people to do that honestly. I guess some just want it no matter the cost.
This is true.. it's also for those who do not know the patterns. (There will always be another one)... just depends on how long you wait.
I've been on both sides of this.
I've also been offered allot of lamps because people see that I pay fair market value or above.

In the old days it was easier to see the shill bidding patterns.
I think hiding the ebay id's now makes this a bit harder.
Yep, sure does make it harder. Not that I've bought many lamps in a long time...
Lol. Looks like k***k is driving them up now. A love bug going for $65+. That is hilarious.
WTF? Did she change her ID or sign up as another? LOL!
No clue. Every single one of the auctions are up there in price.
