OK, guys...the newbie needs a little advice. I bought 2 of these China lamps, more because I liked the black Chrome colored base than for anything else. I planned on just getting some older US 52oz globes to put in them. But when they arrived, they seemed to be some of the "fixed" globes because the liquid is really not that cloudy. If I can get them crystal, I will keep them, because I kind of like them. But I needed to come to the experts. How can I get them to be beautiful and crystal clear. Should I try the rotation method or should I buy a MSR filter? What say you guys?

Have you tried filtering the water through a funnel and filter paper?
It is very slow, and the filter paper gets plugged up quickly. When it does, you need to stick in a new
one. It's just a big mess.
If you have visible particles, pass it through a funnel with a small ball of glass wool (or loosly woven fabric).

I see a lot of visible particles in your liquid but I don't really see a cloudy liquid problem from your photo. To remove visible particles you can simply pour the cooled liquid through a coffee filter and then put it back into the bottle. You might have to go through this process a number of times if the lava keeps releasing wax particles when cycled but you should be able to remove the visible stuff this way after a few cycles. The MSR filter is used to correct cloudy liquid caused by particles so small they require a micro particle filter.
One approach I took was to replace my liquid entirely on a very cloudy new china lamp. It still looks good after all this time.

Have you gotten your MSR pump yet?
I have done 4 lamps so far. One of my dark colored purple Grande's had to be filtered twice.
Now it's a light orange red and clear as drinking water.
One would never believe its the same lamp!!
