Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Fixed flow in decade old Tower Lava Lamp - Glycol rescue!

I pulled out my ten year old, five gallon tower red/clear lamp and powered it up only to find that the flow was a single blob rising halfway, then falling back again.  A definite density issue I thought.  I slowly added 1/2 liter of glycol until the flow reached the top and once again it was working great.  To all those who find their wax at the bottom, try adding propylene glycol (slowly in those smaller lamps) until things begin to lift - you'll be happy again!
