anyone have any tips on how to fix a dented wizard cap?

Do you have a table vice and a wooden spoon?  Maybe try vicing the spoon, handle up, and pounding the cap downwards to slowly pop the dent up into a point.

thanks for the advice.  i will give it a try.

Take a screw driver and place it on a flat surface facing up.  Cover the tip of the screw driver with a dish towel and place the cap over the screw driver and press down gently .  Do this several times and your cap should bend back to it's original state.  Do not press super hard.  Just enough pressure to get the metal to bend.   

good idea.  i'm wondering if the paint will chip regardless of the method i use.
