I recently ran across a black chromed lava with a VERY cloudy black/clear globe, I only really wanted the base for my new black/orange bottle. I figured it would be a good globe to try some declouding techniques, im starting by running it 2 hours on 2 hours off 24/7, I will run it at this schedule for at least 2 weeks and check the improvement (if any). The globe will not be moved or touched at all during the cycling and the room temperature various anywhere from 68 to 72 degrees, the blinds will be closed 24/7 to prevent sunlight from the room.
I will post pictures every few days of the progress, this is day 1
Its a China globe, from what I have seen these particular black/clear globes from the later black chrome bases are the worst ever. The lava flows very well in the short 2 hours periods and I checked for the white junk in the lava but I cant see any. If all else fails it will be MSR pumped and then turned metallic. Its only a $ 10 investment and the base and cap alone is worth that.
