I came across the old "Oozinggoo how to" website and followed the
instruction to the letter and the goo that I made still floated regardless of how much Perc (TETRACHLOROETHYLENE) I used.
I used the "The Retro-Basic Formula"
I have added so much perc to the goo it just separates out to a liquid
mess. Has anyone else had similar issues before when making there own goo?
I can supply photos if that would help to identify where I have gone wrong.

I didn't even get to the stage of putting it in a lamp. I used a glass floating hydrometer (Similar to this)to make sure my mixture of coolant and water was 1.02 and 1.04 to test the density of the wax.
The wax would float regardless of how much perc I added. I did use CRC Brakleen (CRC Brakleen). After looking at the MSDS I was wondering if the other ingredients had a negative effect on the goo. So at lunch today I started going to dry cleaners looking for the perc they use and they have been so far unwilling to supply me with any.
