Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

hello chaps...and thanks for the welcome I had when joining
I had my first lamp for crimbo from the wife, from a company named, the glow company here in the UK, its made by mathmos, I decided I wanted one as my elder sister had one back in the late 60's early 70's
anyways........I have only had my lamp on 5 times, for no longer than 4 hours each time, since christmas day. the lamp hasnt been moved in any way.
there is a blob of wax about one inch across that never seems to cool down and re-sink back to the bottom, and just floats, as the lamp is the Astro lamp, it isnt to big, so the blob of wax nearly fills the top area,
is this a fault, I know there is much worse, as I have been reading the forum, but its bugging me :-)
cheers for any help or advice
Edit : I emailed the glow company and explained while I was waiting for my account here to go through......the good news is...they are sending out a replacement wax bottle, and I dont have to send the old one back...quality customer service !!
