Fluidium coloured bulbs ... solution?

FYI, I would be very cautions of using halogen based bulbs in a lava lamp. Supposedly they generate allot of heat.

Plus putting in a fludium base without the glass circular shield may affect and discolor or worse melt your base.

Be very careful.

The bulbs Mathmos send out with fluidiums now is a halogen bulb Rob. I have used them and had no probs with burning of the base, as they are reflector bulbs and all the heat seems to be generated upwards.

i have heard that there is a paint that you can dip bulbs into to color them but not found anyone thats done it
