Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi guys.

I was recently given Mathmos Fluidium lamp. I have bought the recommended bulb from Mathmos but it still seems to be too hot as the wax is breaking into small blobs and not flowing properly.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

What is the wattage of the lamp used? What kind is it? Pics would be great!

I'm away from home for the next few days so can't post a photo.
I've got a 40w halogen bulb in it. I bought it from Mathmos and they assured me it was the correct bulb.
Thanks for replying.

Try using the 30 watt bulb or get a dimmer.

here is a picture of the lamp as requested, thanks
