For trade or sale, Mathmos Astro, Astrobabies and skittles lamp etc

Hi everyone, I'm thinning down my collection and as a result I have some Mathmos lamps that are looking for a new home. Ideally, I would like the lamps collecting, may post but would probably be expensive. Sorry, I don't want to post abroard :(

We have one Mathmos Astro with box. The bottle is crystal clear, colour red wax with violet liquid.

One Astro Baby with magic purple wax, crystal clear, no box.

One Astro Baby with red wax and violet liquid, again crystal clear and boxed.

We also have a skittles lava lamp, ie: circular base with three skittle shaped lava bottles. Two of the bottles are crystal clear, one is slightly cloudy, but should clear with running.

Two china made lava lamps, both crystal clear.

I have spare Astro bases as well.

I would possibly trade one or all of these lamps for old Christmas lights, old glass Christmas baubles and the like, as I collect vintage Christmas glass and lights. Even better, a ceramic Christmas tree lamp.

I JUST WANT TO POINT OUT THAT NONE OF THESE LAMPS HAVE HAD A LIQUID CHANGE, THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL :)

We live in York, North Yorkshire, ideally collection would be best.

Got your PM, thanks. Here's a photo of the Magic Purple Astrobaby when it is cold, so you can see its cold colour. I'm currently waiting for all the lamps to warm up, I will then post some pictures of the lamps actually running.

Here's another picture of all the lamps warming up. You can see the Magic Purple one has started to work, it sends up blue/purple wax, this wax will turn to a red/purple when fully flowing.

More pics to follow when they've all warmed up.

Has the orange on the left had its fluid changed?

Hi, the lamp on the left is a red wax with clear liquid, it isn't orange. I've not changed the liquid of any of the lamps on those photos.

There's also a large Mathmos Astro with red wax and violet water that isn't pictured in the photo. That is for sale and that has its original box. It isn't in the picture because I've run out of power points to light all those lights.

Yes I like the paper ones too but they are so delicate I'm too scared to put them up :)

Lol, it's a tough chose isn't it! Lets put it this way, the Magic Purples are much harder to come by than the red and clears. You see the red and clear more often. I don't think you can buy either of those colours new now.

All those decorations are beautiful, mind you, I'm nuts about old decs and glass decs and old lights, so I'm biased lol.
