Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I'm working on 5 lamps with goo kits. I'm aiming to make them all bright and neon. I'm wanting a hot pink for one lamp but that dye obviously isn't available. Magma Tower mentioned candle dye... Anyone have any suggestions?Particular brands?

Hey, sorry I missed your chat.  I don't have any recommendations for dyes.  The one that I had researched, plus it had been recommended by a long time OG member, quit selling dyes.  I did a quick search and found the following that might be of help.  Make sure that whatever dye you use will not leach color into the water.  You may have to talk to a customer representative of whatever company you decide to use.  Here are a couple of leads for you:

https://www.candlescience.com/color/liquid-dye

https://villagecraftandcandle.com/candle-making/dye/liquid-candle-c...

https://www.google.com/search?q=candle+wax+dye&oq=candle+wax+dy...

Wow thanks Keith! I really appreciate your help!

Ditto Keith - I had purchased all my dyes from Peak based on one of your previous posts but recently ran out of yellow only to find that Peak does not sell dyes any more

Is there something that I should be looking for in regards to the "type" of dye (?oil based).

I ask because I had re-waxed a grande and it was perfect until I used some white liquid dye I found online - the dye separated and the lamp had to be dumped.

I think it would have to be oil or wax based to keep it from leeching into the water.
