Goo Kit Questions

Hey, I need some information on this goo kit you can buy on ebay.. I want to take one of my 32 oz globes and make a new one. Ok here comes the questions:

1) Where do I dump the original wax and liquid into? Trash Im assuming,but was wondering, Is this stuff toxic?

2) This kit comes with a piece of screen,cant I just use my wax ring ?

3) Im also assuming it comes with user friendly instructions only because Im a newbie at this.

4)I have the bottle cap lid on this one and was wondering whats the best way to remove and still be able to reuse it after completion of this project?

5)Please tell me as long as I follow the instructions to a tee,I will have great results? I really dont want to lose $50.00.

6) Lastly, Is there a video anywhere showing a Goo Head using this kit from start to finish to show a person such as myself on how to do this?

Lamphead has some videos of 32 oz goo kits. You can use the metal heating coil or ring as you called it, just make sure to clean it real good. if is is USA it is toxic and dangerouse but not bad, i work with these things all the time and im fine just dont drink or eat it. The goo kit should have instructions and if not they have a pdf file online. for the bottle cap get a hose clamp and tighten it to put it on. and to take it off pry it a little bit then pry somewhere else. You will have amazing results oo kits are like a little gift form god to fix lamps.  i have done 4 so fare and they are all amazing.

As for the bottle top if you remove it using a conventional cap opener you wont be able to use it again - i do this and then recap the globe using caps and a bottle topper for use by home brewers.

Thanks for the info.. What did you empty the wax and liquid into? Could you tell me where the pdf file is online?  Is this on the ebay store magmatower? I couldnt find it. Thanxs again..

If you go to the gookit tutorial and at the bottem of the first paragraph there is a link at the end of the sentence (.PDF is just after the link) - that allows you to download the instruction but to be honist I think the tutorial on OG is a lot better.

Also the instruchions will come with the gookit.

I just empty the water from the globe down the drain, then heat the globe with only the wax in on the lamp base and then once melted I empty this into a empty milk bottle which just gets put in the trash.
