Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I bought a Grande the other day from a guy on Facebook and I've been having some trouble with it. I bought a 100W bulb and it's been on for over 12 hours without any flow. Also, the wax looks like it has some dark particles in it that I've tried to include in the photo I attached. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how I might fix it?

Side note: the wax only looks like it's about to move because I tried tilting the globe to see if it would help at all.

Is the bulb an "R20" 100watt bulb?  If not the heat is not directed toward the globe properly.

My grande with a regular 100 watt bulb

Black/clear grande 1

It isn't, that's probably my issue. Thank you!
