Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have a Grande and I have low/non existent flow. Using the proper light bulb 100 Watt 100R20F. Now, what I find is if I turn the Air Conditioning off and let the room temperature go up about 8-10 degrees (from 22-24c to 32-34c) that I have very good flow (see photos).

So I take it that the unit isn't getting warm enough at room temperature.

Does anyone have any ideas for a different bulb that would maybe heat the unit up better?

So what is the best way to get more heat? A different bulb, no?
The bulb extender I think you means just puts the bulb closer to the globe?
I'll go out and grab one today... how close should I be putting it to the globe? Its probably bad for them to be directly touching...???
Ok, so got an extender today from Home Depot. Its either just touching the lamp or ever so slightly (and i mean a millimeter or so) away from touching. The flow isn't dead anymore, but it isn't as it was in the picture I initially either. I will take new photos tomorrow and post.

Another idea when I was at home depot but not sure if its recommended, instead of the extender, I could get a splitter and try sneaking two bulbs into the base? Or would it not fit/not heat enough?
