Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Groove Tube/Oozy Glo/Spencers early 2000s lamps Troubleshooting

Hey folks!

So, I've been slowly gathering lava lite Midnight series lamps for years now. I finally bought a lamp from another manufacturer, as in the title. Love the design of those and I got a great example.

I recalled the flow in these being a little dull, but mine is doing something REALLY strange: No matter how long it's been on, the wax never seems to completely melt.

There's some, very sparse, motility but it's usually the whole glob floating up, partially solidifying, and dropping back down.

Anyone have any experience with these or a similar issue in other lamps?
