I would like to put a goo kit into the first lamp I ever bought (it has old, bubbly wax), but it has a broken cap. Does anyone have a spare 52 oz. screw cap they would like to sell or could point me in the right direction to find one? Its a 1974 green/clear brass colored century. I haven't had any luck finding a cap on ebay.
Thanks for any help, anyone might be able to offer.

I realize my answer here is not what you've requested (and may not apply at all), but in case it helps, here it is-Have you considered using a regular bottle cap instead? If a regular bottle cap fits the type bottle you have, it is SO SIMPLE to use! I've found I can open (with a bottle opener) and re-seal (using a hose-clamp) any lamp with ease. To re-seal, all you do is position the hose clamp over the cap you've placed, then tighten the clamp with a screw driver! I tighten slow and careful until it will no longer turn with a tad bit more force than I'd been using all along. No cracked bottles, no leaks, and I can open it back up any time I need to, no problem!
Hope this helps, somehow! Good luck-
Thanks for the suggestion, but this is the type that has a screw on type cap where the cap seals the bottle not the bottle cap type.
Hey Dan I'm afraid your out of luck. Screw caps are not available anywhere nor are they easy to come bye either without it coming with a whole lamp attached to it :( if your cap is completely wasted and not salvageable then you can always go buy a cheap $20, 52 oz. lamp from Spencers and use that for a gookit.
Yeah, I realize its a tall order, I've been looking for a while now, but I figure this forum is the best way to reach the most people and maybe someone has a spare globe w/cap or a lamp w/ issues they'd part with. Can't hurt to ask around. Hard to believe every cap in existence is being used. Thanks for the advice about gookitting (is that a word?) a cheap globe as a replacement. I hadn't thought of that. Definitely a good plan B if I don't get lucky.
I found a spare 52 oz. globe with cap on Ebay for a reasonable price! I just got it in the mail yesterday so now I can start planning to redo my old lamp. Should be a fun project.
