I am at a loss here. How can I "top off" midnight lamps? What do I do? I have several that need some extra fluid - most are all clear. Do I just buy another clear globe and use it's liquid as a sacrifice? Any help would be appreciated.

I was just getting ready to post that I sacrificed a purple/clear (since they seem to be one of the most widely available colors) for it's fluid. My lamp that I topped off is still warming up so I will see how it goes. It did not need that much so I don't think there will be a problem.
What do you do when the lamp that needs topping off, has colored fluid? Will just a little top off dilute the color too much or would it be ok?
Seems the ones that are low have rust on the inner seal after I have removed the cap. One cap was not fully sealed which resulted in evaporation I guess.
