Here is the lamp I picked up today, weird the cap doesn't come off.

Lava lamps all had screw on caps until the early to mid 90's.  

Thanks guys. This is a picture after 7 hours running. So this is not a midnight? The person I bought it from mentioned she bought it 20 years ago. 

How could you tell what model it was ;p
