Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have recently acquired a Nordic Astro. The previous owner had applied a thick layer of glue to the join at the top of the pyramid base. I think it had somehow come loose and they must have thought this was a good idea. Having spent the best part of 4 hours carefully removing the glue I now have a very clean and tidy but wobbly Nordic Astro. I thought you could simply twist the base whilst holding the light bulb holder but this has no effect.

Anyone got any experience of this?

ahhh, ok, I'lll try and get into the base and see how it goes. Thanks

Excellent, that was so easy. Just eased the base off with a small screw driver and did exactly as you said. Thanks,
